Unfortunately we are not going to be holding a Burn Mountain Rock in 2016.
Watch this space for future plans.

Planning for the 5th Burn Mountain Rock festival is underway - however due to construction work at our usual location, this years event will be held at the Cret Beni ski area car-park in La Chapelle d'Abondance - 73460 France on 17, 18 and 19 July 2015.

We have some great groups lined-up for you, and as usual we will be organising ride-outs, great rock music and entertainment over the weekend!

As always we are very greatful to all the sponsors and everyone who helps make it all work, and we very much look forward to meeting you all again in July.

Phew -  the 4th Burn Mountain Rock festival was held on 18-19-20 July 2014 at the Panthiaz telecabine car-park at La Chapelle d'Abondance - 73460 France.

As promised we included some new features including some brilliant stunt riding by Julien Welsch, FMX displays by the BlackLiner guys and plenty of people tried and failed to hang on to the rodeo ride!

As always we want to say a huge "thank you" to all the sponsors and everyone who helped make it all work and of course everyone who joined us over the long weekend.

Discussions have already begun about 2015 - We will let you know as soon as we have agreement on a firm date.  If you have suggestions or ideas on things we might consider for 2015 please send us an email. In the meantime we are wading through heaps of photos and will be adding a selection of the 2014 event here soon.

The 2012 Burn Mountain Rock Festival was held from Friday 20 to  Sunday 22 July at the Pantiaz ski-lift station in La Chapelle D'Abondance -74360 France.

The event was bigger than ever and we attracted bikers from near and far within France (big welcome to the contingent from La Toussuire who even brought the pet dog) as well as bikers who arrived from Switzerland, Germany, Italy and Portugal - cool.

In addition to Free Entry & Free Camping, we had some amazing trials biking, and jumping displays, great food, ride-outs and on Sunday after a blessing for the bikes and bikers Camille - our President led an escorted group up the Col du Rochasssons.

A special thanks to The Mairie and Tourist Office of La Chapelle d'Abondance for their support and assistance, and to our Sponsors and everyone who helped this years event be such a huge success.

If you missed it, then shame on you -  we have added loads of photos from the 2012 event (scroll down and down and down the following link) to show why you MUST come to in 2013...

Meantime please put these dates in your diary now -

Friday 19 to Sunday 21 July 2013.

See you there!

Burn Mountain Rock - is an annual 3 day Rock Music Festival and Biking Rally organised by SAMVA Motobike Club with huge assistance from the La Chapelle d'Abondance Tourist Office and loads of brilliant local sponsors.  Its our biggest annual event and this page has been set up to give you a flavour of this crazy annual event and hopefully get you to join us next year.

The Burn Mountain Rock festival runs from Friday to Sunday ... There is live rock music every day mid morning to midnight on Friday and Saturday building to a grand finale on Sunday afternoon which usually features our President in full flow!

Entry to the music Festival is free, and there is free on-site camping throughout the festival.

Bikers will find stands selling all manner of biking gear and accessories, and each day there are events to take part in (rally-discovery(treasure hunts and challenges), road book(a guided mass ride out), trials biking demos and plenty more fun activities and challenges for everyone to have a go!

On Sunday morning after the Bendiction de Motards (blessing of motorcycles and motorcyclists to bring us luck for another year) we organise one last mass ride out before returning to yet more brilliant food, live music and entertainment.
